Plans for the Summer

Hello, its been a while.

Expect to see a lot of tid bits from project "Boatman" this summer. Those dead punks need to be brought in line, maybe with some comic panels and sculptures.

Also expect to see ghoulies and other macabre things as I'm starting pre-production work on "Ghost Walk".

In other random news, I have recently discovered Adult Swim's "Venture Brothers" cartoon. It is amazing.

Cool plans for the summer. In terms of the "Boatman" project, what is it going to be at the end? Story, comic, artistic narrative, film?

It started out as an idea to be a stop motion short film. It kinda grew beyond what me and my friends are capable of doing with stop motion. So now we are hoping to make it a graphic novel and then an animation later down the road when we are more established. All very ambitious but a fun project none the less :)

sounds cool. Are you going to be doing the art for the graphic novel? It sounds kind of far away right now, but it would be cool to see some pages on dA.

It's all very far away, my drawing skills are not up to par for a graphic novel, yet. I'm hoping to just flesh out the characters, practice drawing human behavior and being consistant with their looks. As they say, practice makes perfect... I hope to put some panels up, I'm working on one now.

Oh yeah! That'd be nice to see. I know, it's really hard to do Graphic Novels or any comics if you're not satisfied with your style... but I like how you draw and I like what I see of the characters, so I'm sure the end result will be great.

It's not that I'm not satisfied with my style it's just harder to keep a constant look of characters in action due to their Tim Burton-esque nature. I'm excited though and thanks for the encouragement! :D
